Clinical Studies of Breast Tumor

Abstract
245 cases of breast tumor, had been treated for 15 years (Jan. 1960-Dec. 1974) were revived and summarized as follows.
1. 245 cases of breast tumor were classified as breast ca, 207 cases (84.5%); fibrgadenoma, 29 cases (11.8%), and dysplasia, 9 cases (3.7%).
2. The most abundant group of age in breast ca was in fourth decade. The eldest age of the patient was 68 years old of age and the youngest age, 20 years.
3. The most common period of first examination from oneset was in 6 months to 1 year as 71 cases (34.6%) among 207 cases of breast cancer.
4. The frequency incidence of site in breast cancer was almost equal in both breasts. The most frequent site was in the upper outer quadrant (52.2%) and least incidence, lower inner quadrant (5.0%).
5. All patients of breast -cancer were classified by T.N.M. system for staging of cancer to follow up surgical result. Stage I group was most frequent as 67 cases (32.4%).
6. In 118 patients palpated lymphnode in axilla, 13 cases (11%) was false negative; and false positive, 18 cases (24.7%) of 73 cases.
7. The outer half of breast cancer was most frequent metastass in axilla (72%), and then 70% in central region of breast and 53.7% in medial half.
8. The most common breast cancer was infiltrating adenocarcinoma with fibrosis. 4 cases of cystosarcoma phyllodles were presented.
9. Radical mastectomy has been chosen for surgery of early breast cancer. In early or late stage, simple or modified radical mastectomy has done.
